IS HE IN YOU

Is He in you

Looking at the reflection
Broken into sections
By the years of life
The journey, the hike
At times battered and beaten
Others, seem sweetened
By memories of Joy
Though how easy it is to destroy
All that is given
One must be driven
By something bigger than oneself
Place the empty jars on the shelf
All is vanity the psalmist says
A chasing of the wind
One might begin
To question who they really are
We must see Him
To see our true reflection
And so is the Question
Is He in you?

2 Corinthians 4:7 But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.

LIFE IN YOU

I sit here waiting on you
You never let me down
I open my heart
And there your found
Your love is so sweet
You take me to the deep
Of love and emotions
You love changes my heart
I never want to part
From your never changing presence
Your spirit is my treasure
Upon what, can measure
The everlasting love that I feel
You hold me firm and still
Nothing compares to your love
I know I have the best of
Life in you

2 Year Anniversary Achievement
Happy Anniversary with WordPress.com!
You registered on WordPress.com 2 years ago!
Thanks for flying with us. Keep up the good blogging!

I have been truly blessed taking the blogging journey! I have never done anything like this before. I never saw myself as a writer. If the Lord had not moved me to write my first poem at 32 I would never have done anything like this or even think I was good enough to write a blog. God is amazing is all I can say! You never no where God will lead you or what He will do in your life.

I am thankful for those of you who follow this blog and daily return. My hope is that God touches your life through this blog, and that is my prayer! Thank you again, and blessings to each and everyone of you!

YOUR SACRIFICE

your sacrifice0032

In today’s world with Isis and everything else going on in this world, our Men and Women and their Families sacrifice so much to serve our country! I’m sure the Men and Women who so bravely give of themselves wont mind me putting some focus on the support of their Families! Whether it is the Wife, Husband, Mother, Father, Brother, or Sister, their Families made our service Men and Women who they are. They have given so much to us and them.

I personally want to thank the Family members for their sacrifice for loaning our Brave Men and Women to us to serve and protect our homes, families, children, so we can live our lives daily taking care of the needs we have here. It is because of their sacrifices we can feel safe!

Some of those Families have suffered the greatest sacrifice, their Son or Daughter, Brother or Sister is never coming home because they gave their lives for us! I personally want to tell those Families I am sorry for your loss! I want to thank you for your courage to carry on and your strength that shows why your Armed Force family member had the strength to do what they do and have done for all of us!

I want to pray for Those who have lost someone and those who carry the burden of knowing the dangers their family members face! Heavenly father thank you for these Families and their brave Soldiers that have given so much to all of us. I ask you for your hand upon those who have suffered loss. I also want to ask for your protection over those who are in the field. I pray your blessing and favor over these special people who have given us their most prize possessions, and of themselves to each and everyone of us.

I am proud to be one Nation Under God because of the Families that show the heart of God by giving of themselves. God bless you!!

THE BUTTERFLY

logo

6 But I am a worm and not a man,
scorned by everyone, despised by the people.

THE BUTTERFLY

Forming inside the womb of God
The process of being born again
The spirit of God works deep within
Transforming the human heart
The soft outer shell of the spirit
Forms a cocoon around the flesh
The potter molding His clay
The new creation
Adding color and beauty
To His once pallid
Reflection of the old man
From the Breaking of the heart
His light shines through
Penetrating the hard shell
Now no longer blind to the world of the spirit
There is a Breaking through
A displaying of wings
Revealing His color shinning upon you
The butterfly

Psalm 22[a]
For the director of music. To the tune of “The Doe of the Morning.” A psalm of David.

1 My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?
Why are you so far from saving me,
so far from my cries of anguish?
2 My God, I cry out by day, but you do not answer,
by night, but I find no rest.[b]
3 Yet you are enthroned as the Holy One;
you are the one Israel praises.[c]
4 In you our ancestors put their trust;
they trusted and you delivered them.
5 To you they cried out and were saved;
in you they trusted and were not put to shame.
6 But I am a worm and not a man,
scorned by everyone, despised by the people.
7 All who see me mock me;
they hurl insults, shaking their heads.
8 “He trusts in the Lord,” they say,
“let the Lord rescue him.
Let him deliver him,
since he delights in him.”
9 Yet you brought me out of the womb;
you made me trust in you, even at my mother’s breast.
10 From birth I was cast on you;
from my mother’s womb you have been my God.
11 Do not be far from me,
for trouble is near
and there is no one to help.
12 Many bulls surround me;
strong bulls of Bashan encircle me.
13 Roaring lions that tear their prey
open their mouths wide against me.
14 I am poured out like water,
and all my bones are out of joint.
My heart has turned to wax;
it has melted within me.
15 My mouth[d] is dried up like a potsherd,
and my tongue sticks to the roof of my mouth;
you lay me in the dust of death.
16 Dogs surround me,
a pack of villains encircles me;
they pierce[e] my hands and my feet.
17 All my bones are on display;
people stare and gloat over me.
18 They divide my clothes among them
and cast lots for my garment.
19 But you, Lord, do not be far from me.
You are my strength; come quickly to help me.
20 Deliver me from the sword,
my precious life from the power of the dogs.
21 Rescue me from the mouth of the lions;
save me from the horns of the wild oxen.
22 I will declare your name to my people;
in the assembly I will praise you.
23 You who fear the Lord, praise him!
All you descendants of Jacob, honor him!
Revere him, all you descendants of Israel!
24 For he has not despised or scorned
the suffering of the afflicted one;
he has not hidden his face from him
but has listened to his cry for help.
25 From you comes the theme of my praise in the great assembly;
before those who fear you[f] I will fulfill my vows.
26 The poor will eat and be satisfied;
those who seek the Lord will praise him—
may your hearts live forever!
27 All the ends of the earth
will remember and turn to the Lord,
and all the families of the nations
will bow down before him,
28 for dominion belongs to the Lord
and he rules over the nations.
29 All the rich of the earth will feast and worship;
all who go down to the dust will kneel before him—
those who cannot keep themselves alive.
30 Posterity will serve him;
future generations will be told about the Lord.
31 They will proclaim his righteousness,
declaring to a people yet unborn:
He has done it!

In this life we might not have many followers or fans. We may not have committed friends or lovers.
We may not have parents that cheer us on or tell us about our potential, encourage us about our endless possibilities or lift us up when we hit an all time low! What we do have is a God that knows our potential if we will only believe. He sits in the back row when there is no one left to cheer us on. He remains and is committed to making our lives colorful. You may be blessed and have those who encourage you but even that is God encouraging you through them. If you feel like a worm, or a Caterpillar I’m here to tell you, your a butterfly in process! This life is your cocoon and everything in it is forming you into the beautiful butterfly God has intended. Partner with Him and watch His full glory and color shine upon you!!!

You are more beautiful when you are awake than most are in a life time! Now that your awake to God Be colorful! God bless!

SORROW TO GLADNESS

logo

SORROW TO GLADNESS

Lingering at the bottom
Conviction in Sodom
Like the curse of Pandora
I have found my self in Gomorrah
With a repented heart
High walls to climb, I start
Placing my eyes on you
It’s incredible but true
Every morning your mercies are new
Hope deferred makes the heart sick
The wall of impossible adds another brick
But desire fulfilled is a tree of life
His love penetrates the heart like a knife
Setting the captives free
Helping the blind to see
Who said he was the chief among sinners
This man of faith was no beginner
To the goodness of our God
It is this truth that lifts a man
From the lowest of the pit, to stand
The grace of our God takes our brokenness and sadness
And turns our sorrows into gladness

EMPTY TOMBS

logo

EMPTY TOMBS

A life of empty tombs
Visions of prosperity, a city in ruins
The heart drawn by worldly desires
Where one longs to build an empire
Possessions a promise to define
A sole sold to the wrong kind
Set out like the rest, meaning for the best
Only fooled by spiritual fools Gold
Let the truth be told
If one is to sell their only heart
Let me warn you before you part
With your greatest possession
Your heart was given as a test
How with it, would you invest?
The hearts purpose is to love
The one who gave it is above
All things, for He is love
Without Him, There is no life
Only, empty tombs

1 Corinthians 13 New International Version (NIV)

13 If I speak in the tongues[a] of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. 3 If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast,[b] but do not have love, I gain nothing.

4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10 but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears. 11 When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me. 12 For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.

13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

VICTOR’S PRIZE

logo

VICTOR’S PRIZE

I’m asleep, I awake
I cannot mistake the sounds that I hear
The earth shakes, the ground quakes
There’s a rumbling, I’m in fear
The lights are out, I want to shout
What is happening here
I’m in need, I want to know
But I cannot show my inner weakness
I see flashes of light
There are sounds of thundering roars
I gather my strength and run for the door
I speed down the stairs, I run outside
I am caught by surprise, as I’m drawn to the sky
What a glorious sight, I gasp and sigh
Bright light pronouncing then fading to both sides
Treasures of color, I can’t believe my eyes
My spirit filled like never before
Overflowing your presence, I wanted to implore
But I was taken by the white horse
Sounds of people with deep remorse
Your sword carried a blinding tip
Suddenly I began to lift
And rise, my body soaring upward into the skies
The incredible joy I felt inside
I gazed upon you, the lover of my soul
I was so captivated I nearly missed
The millions reaching for the goal
The victor’s prize, it was you Jesus Christ

EVERYTHING

logo

EVERYTHING

I see you in everything
Fall comes, I get on my knees
It’s pruning season, you know my needs
Winter comes, I see barren trees
Summer, the dry and thirsty land
The desert a place strong trees stand
Where dry bones live
By your words we speak and give
Resurrection to dead things
spring, new life it gives, and brings
Color and blessings to everything
Night, the darkness comes
Sin, from death runs
Day, the light of truth becomes
The answer to the darkness
Evil, hides around every corner
Good, the conviction, the Warner
The giving heart
The selfless soul, giving part
Of all that is given
This is the heart driven
By the word of the living truth
Then shared among our youth
Rain, the living water from Heaven
Wind, the breath of God, the leaven
To empower the saints
Our fleshes only restraints
Helping us achieve Gods will
It isn’t until My heart worships
Sings, I see you in
everything

TEARS OF LOVE

logo

TEARS OF LOVE

As they slid down tickling my face
My eyes swelled up, with love embraced
Then laced Upon my heart
Tears Flowing down
I knew that I had found
What I was so desperately looking for
Now upon me, I had know idea what was in-store
As the man prayed for me
That You would open the door, to your Kingdom
His vision of the water Pitcher pouring over me
Bringing freedom
From the top of my head
To the bottom of my feet
Your healing at work was almost complete
Baptized and now made new
I finally found what was true
That was several years ago Lord
You opened the door
I have carried my cross
You have carried me
Every time my heart looks above
I remember, those tears of love
