He was a nice man, always trying to be a good person
Soon His life would take a diversion
From what He knew to be true
It was suppose to be a fun night out with a friend or two
They went to a local pub, watched the game and had few drinks
What happened next, is not what one considers or thinks
It was late that night, as he was driving home
Laughing to himself at some of their jokes, while coming to a stop
He drove forward, out from nowhere came a car speeding through
It happened so fast, there was nothing he could do
Thrown from his car and left unconscious
The ambulance came and he was unresponsive
The next thing he knew, he was full of fear
The pain he felt was severe
He knew he was falling into the darkness. There were creatures and demons
Flying in and out and around him, he didn’t understand the reasons
The terror he felt, he couldn’t breathe, He tried to focus, but couldn’t see
His lips were chapped, his mouth completely dry, he desperately needed a drink
The stress He felt, the burning sensation, the condemnation, the agitation
He could hear loud screams from millions of people, he began to grind and gnash his teeth
He regained consciousness for a second, he could hear the surgeon saying “were loosing him”
In that moment he understood where he was, the shock, the anxiousness, the plea
He yelled! “Oh my God your real, please forgive me, save me God, please!”
There a light in the distance drawing closer, As the devil himself, the composer
Of the dark abyss, grabbed him by the wrist, and then suddenly he was jolted
When he heard His voice ” Go now and tell everyone the truth”
The feeling he had was like he had found the fountain of youth
He woke in the hospital, a changed man
Hopefully if you hear his story you will understand
Time is short when you take a glance, you too could have a second chance!

Down in the valley
where the trees grow on both sides
A covering of green displayed
Where the river runs through
A rainbow echoing the colors within
Birds of many colors
flowers of many kinds
A waterfall glides downward
A spray of water, a mist
Hovers over the bottom
The colors of the rainbow bounces
And glistens and if you listen
You hear the sound of a beautiful
Constant gushing flow
There is a glow
Where the sun hits the surface
As if painted for a purpose
Birds singing, trees whistling
A breeze so calm as if tickling
Each branch as it glides through
There behind the waterfall
An angel walks through
Holding it’s hands out to both sides
Raised up toward the skies
Saying “come”
“This I created for you”
Where the river runs through

Though I wander in the desert
I get lost from time to time
By my struggles, I’m not measured
Your love is treasured
In my weakness you are there
Holding me up, and declare
Your faithfulness so complete
In the shallows you’re there to meet
Taking me deeper down
Then back up, placing me on solid ground
If it were up to me, I’d fail
I could never carry the cross on my own
By your Wind, Your Gail
You help me through
You are steadfast in all I do
All you ask of me, Is to
Hold on to You

2 Samuel 22:17 “He reached down from on high and took hold of me; he drew me out of deep waters.

1 Timothy 1:19 holding on to faith and a good conscience, which some have rejected and so have suffered shipwreck with regard to the faith.

Mark 5 New International Version (NIV)

” 24 So Jesus went with him. A large crowd followed and pressed around him. 25 And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years. 26 She had suffered a great deal under the care of many doctors and had spent all she had, yet instead of getting better she grew worse. 27 When she heard about Jesus, she came up behind him in the crowd and touched his cloak, 28 because she thought, “If I just touch his clothes, I will be healed.” 29 Immediately her bleeding stopped and she felt in her body that she was freed from her suffering.

30 At once Jesus realized that power had gone out from him. He turned around in the crowd and asked, “Who touched my clothes?”

31 “You see the people crowding against you,” his disciples answered, “and yet you can ask, ‘Who touched me?’ ”

32 But Jesus kept looking around to see who had done it. 33 Then the woman, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell at his feet and, trembling with fear, told him the whole truth. 34 He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.”

I can say my success as a Christian has come only by holding on to Jesus. At times Just holding on to the edge of His garment. Trusting always in His faithfulness not my own. Believing in the hope that is in Christ Jesus. Knowing He is the only hope for me. Trusting Him through the testing of my faith and walking me through trials. Whatever this life brings I know my savior lives. He shows Himself through every season of my life. He never gives up on us. He remains faithful when we are faithless. So I Have learned to Hold on to Him!

I am strong
It wont be long
I will be admired
Wait, I’m tired
Of trying to be excepted
Strong is what is expected
The truth is, I am weak
In front of people
I’m afraid to speak
I’m afraid of failure
To others, I am tailored
For their approval
I’m guessing it’s not unusual
To seek acceptance
I know I’m going to be rejected
But I have elected
To reveal my true heart
It’s kind of funny when you start
You begin to realize the lie in part
That has held you back
Getting on the right track
Is understanding who you are
A broken vessel of God
The truth is, when you are weak
You are strong!

2 Corinthians 13 New International Version (NIV)

Final Warnings
13 This will be my third visit to you. “Every matter must be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.”[a] 2 I already gave you a warning when I was with you the second time. I now repeat it while absent: On my return I will not spare those who sinned earlier or any of the others, 3 since you are demanding proof that Christ is speaking through me. He is not weak in dealing with you, but is powerful among you. 4 For to be sure, he was crucified in weakness, yet he lives by God’s power. Likewise, we are weak in him, yet by God’s power we will live with him in our dealing with you.

5 Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you—unless, of course, you fail the test? 6 And I trust that you will discover that we have not failed the test. 7 Now we pray to God that you will not do anything wrong—not so that people will see that we have stood the test but so that you will do what is right even though we may seem to have failed. 8 For we cannot do anything against the truth, but only for the truth. 9 We are glad whenever we are weak but you are strong; and our prayer is that you may be fully restored. 10 This is why I write these things when I am absent, that when I come I may not have to be harsh in my use of authority—the authority the Lord gave me for building you up, not for tearing you down.

When I write, many different things inspire me. I am not always writing about myself, my emotions, and yet sometimes I do write about myself. Sometimes God will walk me through things just so I can share that specific topic. Other times He can show me things through others. I know life is hard and I meet different people and see their struggles. In this life we all have struggles and so my posts usually talk about different heart challenges. Seeking to meet the struggling heart right where it’s at. My post will not always speak to you directly. I believe each one is meant for someone though.

People are hurting, People are discouraged, some beaten down, some extremely strong, too strong most likely, which can be a bad thing especially if the strength is to protect yourself. We are meant to rely on Gods strength and share in His weakness upon the cross. Understanding that when our weakness, vulnerabilities, are subject for Gods purpose then we learn to embrace our weaknesses and rely on Gods ability to hold us up and make us strong inwardly to love in a broken world. Sometimes that love requires us to reveal our weaknesses and chance rejection! This is why Paul is writing this letter asking that they examine themselves. Examine if you are walking in your own strength trying to prove yourself to others. If pride is in your heart, If arrogance is front and center. We must risk our own hearts and weakness, trusting in God to make us strong.

When you choose to allow your heart to care and risk, revealing weakness, trusting God to be your strength if you are rejected. You are strong!

Loss of desire, no motivation
The sensation
Is of climbing a never ending hill
I only want to lay down and be still
Slow my thoughts in moderation
The picture is of a sloth on vacation
Is it hope deferred, is my heart sick?
Is it a trick of my enemy?
Or do I simply lack the energy?
Repeating the same thing day after day
Am I needing Him, should I pray?
The well is dry
There’s a growing desire to cry
The feeling to just lay down and die
Do I cry out, asking why?
I think I will sit in His presence
A continual worship, concession
He is the only
Answer to my questions

1 Kings 19 New International Version (NIV)

Elijah Flees to Horeb
19 Now Ahab told Jezebel everything Elijah had done and how he had killed all the prophets with the sword. 2 So Jezebel sent a messenger to Elijah to say, “May the gods deal with me, be it ever so severely, if by this time tomorrow I do not make your life like that of one of them.”

3 Elijah was afraid[a] and ran for his life. When he came to Beersheba in Judah, he left his servant there, 4 while he himself went a day’s journey into the wilderness. He came to a broom bush, sat down under it and prayed that he might die. “I have had enough, Lord,” he said. “Take my life; I am no better than my ancestors.” 5 Then he lay down under the bush and fell asleep.

All at once an angel touched him and said, “Get up and eat.” 6 He looked around, and there by his head was some bread baked over hot coals, and a jar of water. He ate and drank and then lay down again.

7 The angel of the Lord came back a second time and touched him and said, “Get up and eat, for the journey is too much for you.” 8 So he got up and ate and drank. Strengthened by that food, he traveled forty days and forty nights until he reached Horeb, the mountain of God. 9 There he went into a cave and spent the night.

God works in our weakness, He is constantly transforming our lives. If you feel the season will never end and it seems like it’s going on forever, I might suggest that God is putting you on a fast track to change. There are reasons some people go through more than others and it usually has to do with the amount of work God is doing in you. Some of it can be attacks from the enemy to try to hinder the works progress. Some can be the fact that you are fighting against God in what He is doing and so it is a prolonged work like that of Jonah.

The only solution to feeling better is finding yourself at the feet of Jesus. look at what God said to Elijah (All at once an angel touched him and said, “Get up and eat.”) Bread and wine is the answer, communion with God! Notice how God provided the bread (Word of God) The water (Presence of God) then Elijah rests only to be woken by God to do it again, eat and drink! Travel then eat and drink again. When you are on the journey of God and He is walking you through many different types of challenges and situations to grow you spiritually, you will not make it unless you choose to spend time with God through the process called being filled! When your thermos is empty you must go to the fountain to fill it!

Raindrops falling and trickling down
The sound of whispering winds
The darkness so profound
Clouds covering the sky
As if the darkness is conveying a moments victory
A personal struggle or depression
My thoughts in session
With the spirit of truth
Then breaking the oppression
With a simple decision
Opening my eyes to the vision
Of the sun shining through
It is true, after every storm
A new sun is born, as is a new day
Though a day may be full of sun
Ones heart could be full of clouds
The same decision must be made
The Son rose By the truth
