Meditating, confiscating a particular thought
I pondered, I wondered, I conjured and caught
The deep emotions expressed, I sought
His word so powerful and can be construed in many ways
The parable a puzzle, yet mystery’s relayed
His living word as wide and deep as the ocean
His voice so sweat, a love potion
His spirit so calm and always still
I wait on truth, I wait on whats real
His prophesies are given for us to heal
His truth that sets us free
With Him I want to be
So I dig deep
Deep cries out to deep
I listen and hear Him speak
Thou shalt not live by bread alone
But on every word of God
In Him, I am so fond
So blessed to hear His voice
To think opening my heart to Him was a choice
Today I am satisfied
I have eaten the bread of life
The ground is hard, dry from no rain
Winter is far from my eyes
My body weak and in pain
My vision is clear
Of what the hard work will bring
Every stroke of the pick
Breaks a piece of my insides
Like the pounding waves
Bringing in the tides
The clouds begin to form
Dark and gloomy
Carrying with them
Doubts flowing through me
The rain begins to fall
Covering the body of land
Filling the heart of it
And turning it into sand
I begin to feed the soil
As the seeds leave my hands
Soaking in the joy of the rain upon my face
I realized a change was taking place
When a rock hits the surface of still waters
Or a tear falls with no one to catch it
Crossing a narrow bridge with shaking feet
When life feels like there’s no ground to stand on
Or a mountain that is too high to climb upon
A rubber band stretched to its breaking point
The current of life calling you to its center
A vacuum for the cleansing of souls
A test of life or true intimacy
After a thunder storm
Light breaks through across the sky
When the dawn rises
Beauty is seen for the first time
The harvest has come
Won’t you share the fruit with me
Changes within
Rolling rivers, Giant timbers
Of oaks, a place to build
On a rock by the hill of hope
From His hands the rivers flow
A spiritual place to grow
Where seeds we throw
Become a harvest to know
He is with you
It’s true
where graves of dead men are raised
The gate unseen but paved
For you and me
Where faith breaks through
The gate is seen
And your redeemed
It’s a secret place
Where one goes to find grace
Where weeds turn to wheat
And the field of despair
Turns to an orchard declared
By Him
Where all seemed lost
Until He claimed the cost
Of your soul
Where your true beauty unfoldS
From the lies that where told
In the desert
But now your here
so open your heart my dear
Enter the promise land
Have you ever wondered
What is on the other side
Are there fairies with very beautiful eyes
Are they six inches tall wearing colorful dresses
Dancing, asking you to give it a try
What are some of the things God has left as a surprise
Will there be soft and cuddly animals
With singing birds, all through the skies
Will there be a candy-land, with sugar and pies
Where the children play and go down slides
What will life be like on the other side
I know it wont be boring
God writes the story
Magnificent things are in store
He gave us imaginations and Hearts to dream
I wonder why that might be
So dream
Where are you hiding
My heart is smiling
As I try to find you
I know your playing
Your love displaying
A yearning to be found
Under every rock I will search
I’m eager to research
Everything there is to know
I want to grow
In your loving arms
So reveal yourself to me
I long to be free
And run with you
I want to feel the breeze
My arms stretched out on my knees
I can feel your presence
So much beauty in this moment
I love the rain of atonement
Your showering love
You are the one for me
I woke with a sense of clarity
The kind of clarity I haven’t had before
My heart was deeply open
The feeling was like someone was
Taking buckets of different colors
And throwing them on the walls of my heart
I could feel everything
I could see how I was feeling
I was feeling as I could see
Someone was pouring colors all over me
Have you ever seen love
And felt it at the same time
Its the special kind
When all darkness and troubles
Are pushed away
Where truth and purpose are displayed
With colors filling your heart with truth
No matter what you have done, or who you are
There is someone who loves you that will never part
Where the beauty of color is expressed
You find rest in His presence
You will know, you were
Kissed by a rainbow
Sweat drips upon my lips
The taste of sour grapes
Was it yours or was it mine
A bitter wine
The water wont turn
The feast is almost over
The clock grows colder
Than I’ve ever known
Must I remain a shallow grave
Like David must I act insane
Shall I dance naked in the rain
You once called me by name
Have I lost my way
As the psalmist would say
Remember your promise today
You will never forsake
Those whom you have called
Instead we share “wormwood”
At the time misunderstood
That we would
Be crucified with You
I felt with such a deep message I should edit with some commentary so you will better understand the deep hidden message. We all go through struggles some worse than others. Some give us an eternal feeling of a death taking place within us. Most of the time producing great change. The feeling we can have and the emotions during those times left me picturing Jesus on the cross when he said Father why have you forsaken me. The very moment when Jesus took on all of our sin. God turned His face away from Jesus for that moment.
As His word says we are all everyday headed like sheep to the slaughter. It feels like when we are working through change in our lives and our sin is at the surface that God seems absent. Or turning His face from our sin when just the opposite is taking place He is covering our sin! “Wormwood” Is our ability to share that death with Christ and what it means at the crucifix. The blood sweat tears, the pain and the powerful love that was displayed!
EXPOSITORY (ENGLISH BIBLE)
Ellicott’s Commentary for English Readers
(34) Vinegar to drink mingled with gall.—In Mark 15:23, “wine mingled with myrrh.” The animal secretion known as “gall” is clearly out of the question, and the meaning of the word is determined by its use in the Greek version of the Old Testament, where it stands for the “wormwood” of Proverbs 5:4, for the poisonous herb joined with “wormwood” in Deuteronomy 29:18. It was clearly something at once nauseous and narcotic, given by the merciful to dull the pain of execution, and mixed with the sour wine of the country and with myrrh to make it drinkable. It may have been hemlock, or even poppy-juice, but there are no materials for deciding. It is probable that the offer came from the more pitiful of the women mentioned by St. Luke (Luke 23:27) as following our Lord and lamenting. Such acts were among the received “works of mercy” of the time and place. The “tasting” implied a recognition of the kindly purpose of the act, but a recognition only. In the refusal to do more than taste we trace the resolute purpose to drink the cup which His Father had given Him to the last drop, and not to dull either the sense of suffering nor the clearness of His communion with His Father with the slumberous potion. The same draught was, we may believe, offered to the two criminals who were crucified with Him.
A dust of clouds hover over
The family tree is getting older
The same demons passed on
Assigned to destroy
Is there no one to deploy the truth
Is there anyone to stand and remove
The strongholds claiming their youth
The enemy remains unseen
Until the family drama is seen
The broken hardened hearts grown faint
From the Drunkard, molestation
The evil manifestations
The abuser, the drug user
Evil at its worst
The curse of the life without God
The tears of a child speak
No longer a time to be weak
A time to stand against
A time to repent
Their is power in your midst
A healer, a kiss
From on high
Giving power to rely
On, to overcome, taking back
What was rightly yours
Incredible mercy in-store
You must wield the sword
Take the inheritance you’ve been given
Christ died so we would be forgiven
Holding power, the devil would be driven
By Gods spoken word
So let your voice be heard
By His power
A broken curse
Exodus 20:5
You shall not bow down to them or serve them, for I the Lord your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and the fourth generation of those who hate me,
Ephesians 6:12
For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.
James 5:16
Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.
Matthew 16:19
I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.”
The future is hard to see
What will I do, where will I be
Will my troubles be gone
It’s too far to see
Will I change and grow
Will I become someone proud to know
Will my worries subside
Will I learn to rely
On the Lord and the Lord alone
Will the world direct my course
Will I live in remorse
Or will i decide
To set myself aside
And live for Him
Letting go and letting in
Where trust and hope begin
I have to admit
I haven’t always been content
As I learn to surrender
I find out how tender
His love for me is, today
And even more, Tomorrow
Philippians 4:11 I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances.
