TRULY KNOW ME

I look out the window from my soul
The aching, the pain, the sorrow
I want you to know, who I am
These bars of my flesh, these chains
Are remains, from the fall of this world
Each bar that holds me in this cage
Were formed by pain, rejection, fear, and rage
On the inside of these bars, made of this powerful flesh
Is a boy, who really cares, who longs to be free, to rest
He tells us not to judge, because we cannot, the heart see
Yes, I’m in a prison, and I long to be free
On the outside at times, you wouldn’t believe
I am His, This prison has floors, ten stories high
If you had seen me before, you wouldn’t believe your eyes
He has helped me get this high, I was more bound then this
At times when I broke from certain levels of this prison
I thought I was completely free, because I knew I was forgiven
Until I was face to face with more bars of my flesh
There are seasons, when I’m tired and I want to rest
The constant battles, fighting, I want to contest
First generational, I am facing the curse, of all those before me
Iv’e already been tried and He pleaded my case, from all charges, I am free
I have been found innocent, though I must face
Sin and it’s cost, I must battle to gain what was lost
I’m sorry for the pain, I have caused you, as I learn how to live
If there is anything, inside, the deepest part of my heart, I give
Egypt, I will never forget, until I am completely free
One day you will truly see, His glory, as my flesh falls
I spread my wings, And Christ face shines upon, and is seen
You will then, truly know me

IN TIME

IN TIME

As I entered the side of the mountain
After days of climbing, down deep I see
A light shining, on what looks like a fountain
A glimmer of light shines through, the glare
Reflecting from the water, an amazing blue
The inner walls, cristal like, with a blue reflection
Dark, yet enough light to guide the direction
The fountain overflowing, causing the stream
To flow in sections
Wondering where it all leads to
I hear a voice echoe, follow the stream
Frightened, I wonder what this means
The walls ridged, I must move with care
The bottom in reach, as I stare, beautiful, I’m aware
Like a trance I’m taken, by a tunnel filled with color
All reflecting from the stream of the fountain
I ask myself, what kind is this mountain
I’ve climbed many mountains, but never entered one
I follow the tunnel, once again a voice
Inside the mountain, you will find decisions, a choice
To continue on or to quit, the stream to the left is my voice
If you go on your own or quit, greater challenges exist
Trust me and follow my voice, challenges yes, but less sorrow
Instead of dead ends, around each corner a newness begins
Mysteries I’ve layed out for you to explore
Favor, blessings, transformation, glory
This is where you will find your life’s story
I must tell you where you are, we are inside your heart
In your heart is a story, I’d like to help you tell
The fountain is my spirit living in you
The mountain is life, and you will climb many
This is where, you, I am sending
You will experience many peaks and valleys
Like Moses you will see my Glory, if you follow my voice
Once again, it’s your choice, so choose

So look deep inside, see the fountain

I wonder If I could hold every thought captive
The potential I would have
Every thought that works to tear me down
Held captive, how high, I would be lifted up
Every thought of bitterness and spite
I just might show others, Gods amazing grace
I wonder if I wouldn’t focus so much on myself
Not a trace, rather focus on lifting others up
I wonder If I would break the curse
Not only for me but for you
How free we would be, made new
I wonder if everyday, I fought my sin
How much change would begin
Is it possible to be changed, and if I was
Would my life be rearranged
For something more, what would God have instore

As the rain symbolizes renewal or new life
As water turned to wine, the bride, the wife
Joined together by the blood sacrifice
The binding of two into one, thanks be to Christ
The wife the crown on His head, the Husband the covering
As the bride of Christ we are always discovering
Deep and powerful truths, by His spirit we are renewed
His spirit the water for our soul, little did Peter know
When Christ sought to wash his feet
Unless I wash your feet, you shall have no part in me
Then wash all of me. Those whom have already been washed
Do not need to be washed entirely, only their feet
You are clean, once you received, so have a seat
And allow Him to wash your feet, from where you have walked
Allow Him to cleanse your daily sins, so His blessings wont be blocked
At the well He said give me a drink, If you knew who it was, asking for a drink
You would ask Me for a drink, I would give you a drink, you will never thirst again, so think
What He was saying, the hard clay of your heart, a little water, you might start

IS IT JUST ME

IS IT JUST ME

Who’s tears fall, when you touch the heart
Who smiles when you gently start, revealing
Truth, bringing healing to my soul
I want to know, are there others like me
Who simply love worshiping, being set free
Who daily struggles with who I am
Knowing, I’m not just any man
But a child of the living God
Am I odd, to think of greatness
Am I crazy to dream of such things
To have been captured by your love
Knowing everything I need comes from above
Is it silly to adore you
More than the things of this world
Is it strange to think, after your birth
We were given power to change the earth
You gave and now we can give away
Is it funny to say, Christ now lives in me
Though I’m far from perfect
And many can see my flaws
Yet I’m with you, and you cover me
Is it just me

You, who are reading this
Take this time to focus
On what is true, in your heart
Rid yourself from the locust
Longing to steal your joy
Let go of yesterday, today is new
Forget your troubles and worries
Stop struggling
With anything other than your heart
Your heart in Him
Listen to His words, and take them in
He gives strength to the weary
and increases the power of the weak
Even youths grow tired and weary
and young men stumble and fall
but those who hope in the Lord
will renew their strength
They will soar on wings like eagles
they will run and not grow weary
they will walk and not be faint
See you are His saints
Grace be to God
You are His beloved, don’t be shocked
Renew the truth in your heart
So do not fear, He says, for I am with you
do not be dismayed, for I am your God
I will strengthen you and help you
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand
“All who rage against you
will surely be ashamed and disgraced
those who oppose you
will be as nothing and perish
Though you search for your enemies

and says to you, Do not fear
