CALL ME YOUR OWN

logo

I call to you from the depths of my soul
Remember the promises, you once told
Of your everlasting covanant
Your love spoken to the lost and the needy
I want the new life, that is given freely
The gift of the cross
So many times I have found myself lost
Strayed from the path
Pick me up once again and spare me from the wrath
Of what I know is deserved
Lord father, I want to return
To the place of rest
The arms of my savior
Remember not my fleshly behavior
Once again give me favor, and
Call me your own

I AM REDEEMED

logo

I stand arms stretched out wide
Palms facing upwards, towards the sky
Sun shining down upon me
Tears of joy gleaming, as I cry
From the deep love I feel inside
Of the truth, I can no longer hide
My savior has set me free
I am redeemed

I lift up my voice to the sky
My love I can no longer hide
My spirit leaping from inside
To be close to you
Jesus my savior, it’s true
My savior has set me free
I am redeemed

As I lift my voice in song
My heart opens and longs
To draw closer to you
You are my shepherd, my rock
The door that opened, when I knocked
My savior has set me free
I am redeemed

I now stand in awe, of your grace that falls
Your spirit washes over me, and calls
My heart to receive, as I worship my king
The lover of my soul, who excepts me
As I am, you stand, confirming
My savior has set me free
I am redeemed

DO YOU LOVE ME THREE TIMES

A MOMENT IN HEAVEN

1 Corinthians 13 New King James Version (NKJV)

The Greatest Gift, combined with poetry

Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels
But have not love
I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal
At times my heart can resemble the hardest stone
How can my heart be known, if covered and unknown
Might I find the courage, out from behind the rock I stand
He calls me out from hiding
Teaching me by His spirit, I’m abiding
In the boat as He sleeps, a storm comes, it creeps
He is not awakened, though my heart frightened and shaken
Out from the boat on the water He stands
From a whisper He calls, commands, Terrified, I step out
And then begin to sink, the storms He quiets, and takes my hand
Now on the rock I stand
I deny Him three times as the cock crows three times
On the beach, on the sand, He asks me my rhyme
Do you love me three times

A PERSPECTIVE OF THE SCALE OF LIFE

images

There are so many smart and wise people on this earth. They have a strong inner person to do right and make right choices. People who choose to do the right thing and treat others the way they want to be treated, because of the strong morals that have been either instilled in them or have been a conviction of their own heart.

People who by choosing right have received blessings for their wonderful choices. Not that they haven’t had struggles, because they have, but their strong will to choose right and do good no matter what, has benefited them greatly.

The only problem for a great majority of them is their struggle wrestling with, is there a God? A good majority have a hard time believing in a God because they see no need for God. They have done just fine without Him, or have they?

You see I hope you will be challenged by my perspective and my strong belief. Though unlike you, I didn’t begin with such a strong conviction to do good and choose right. Unfortunate or purposed, I under went many difficulties and poor role models, That tempted me to choose the opposite, I took the wrong course!

Which leads me to this topic (A PERSPECTIVE OF THE SCALE OF LIFE) You see the bible discuses Gods scale of blessing! His words are, you reap what you sow! So regardless if your a believer or not, His scale will never change. If you are sowing character by your great Choices, you will reap the blessing!

What does this mean at the end of your life? Will God remember all of your good even though you never believed in Him?

Romans 3:23 NIV 23: for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

So even if you do right and choose good you still fall short of the glory of God!

Romans 3:10-18New King James Version (NKJV)

10 As it is written:

“There is none righteous, no, not one;
11 There is none who understands;
There is none who seeks after God.
12 They have all turned aside;

The scripture says none are righteous not one; none who seeks after God.

So is it harder for someone who is broken and chooses wrong or someone who chooses right to seek God?

I believe it is hard for both on the scale of life. I also think it might be easier for someone broken because they have great need which puts them in position to seek for help no matter where, and even last resort, seeking God!

So the challenge or greatest character choice for someone who does and chooses well within themselves is, to seek God regardless if they see their need!

The need might not be now, but what about the end of your life? You spent your whole life choosing right but missed the most important choice which is seeking God! When you do seek and receive Him, you get the greatest blessing of your life, salvation!

Yet if your own ability grows pride so you never do seek Him, find yourself guilty of that sin, and unrepentant leads to eternity in hell!

I pray and hope you will consider my perspective and belief and most importantly the word of God!

God bless you in seeking Him!

Who is it that found my wondering heart
This heart that leads me astray
A wanderer whom darkness falls
Memories of one who calls, to the lost
The markers along the way
Road signs that simply say
I am here, come this way
Ignored the signs so many times
Yet I find, your still here pointing the way
In my myopia, looking for a utopia
That I would never find
You patiently waited to remind
What I already knew in my heart
I’m not alone, there is one who walks with me
One who is faithful, who loves me
You have shown me the truth
Sunny days or stormy weather
Only one thing matters
You and I, together

A LILY IN THE GARDEN

logo

A LILY IN THE GARDEN

She was young, and soon to wear the petals white
A virgins purity, catching sight
Of the flower she was, an Angel visited because
She was to carry a Rose, a Rose as red as rubies
Her white petals represented what was to come
To whom receive her Son, salvation is given
Flowers of the field, born in Him, and forgiven
The souls of the departed, shall receive restored innocence after death
The burdened, the weak, those in need, shall find rest
The Rose would be born with a crown of thorns
Hearts in Him formed, by His truth
She watched Him die, then rise to glory
Blessed among women, the lily of this story
May we all be touched by the Rose you carried
Oh, Mary, A lily in the garden

Meaning & Symbolism of Lilies

Dating as far back as 1580 B.C., when images of lilies were discovered in a villa in Crete, these majestic flowers have long held a role in ancient mythology. Derived from the Greek word “leiron,” (generally assumed to refer to the white Madonna lily), the lily was so revered by the Greeks that they believed it sprouted from the milk of Hera, the queen of the gods. Lilies are known to be the May birth flower, and the 30th wedding anniversary flower.

While white lilies symbolize chastity and virtue – and were the symbol of the Virgin Mary’s purity and her role of Queen of the Angels – as other varieties became popular, they brought with them additional meanings and symbolism as well. Peruvian lilies, or alstroemeria, represent friendship and devotion, white stargazer lilies express sympathy and pink stargazer lilies represent wealth and prosperity. Symbolizing humility and devotion, lilies are the 30th anniversary flower – while lilies of the valley are the 2nd wedding anniversary flower.

As the flowers most often associated with funerals, lilies symbolize that the soul of the departed has received restored innocence after death.

TRULY KNOW ME

TRULY KNOW ME

I look out the window from my soul
The aching, the pain, the sorrow
I want you to know, who I am
These bars of my flesh, these chains
Are remains, from the fall of this world
Each bar that holds me in this cage
Were formed by pain, rejection, fear, and rage
On the inside of these bars, made of this powerful flesh
Is a boy, who really cares, who longs to be free, to rest
He tells us not to judge, because we cannot, the heart see
Yes, I’m in a prison, and I long to be free
On the outside at times, you wouldn’t believe
I am His, This prison has floors, ten stories high
If you had seen me before, you wouldn’t believe your eyes
He has helped me get this high, I was more bound then this
At times when I broke from certain levels of this prison
I thought I was completely free, because I knew I was forgiven
Until I was face to face with more bars of my flesh
There are seasons, when I’m tired and I want to rest
The constant battles, fighting, I want to contest
First generational, I am facing the curse, of all those before me
Iv’e already been tried and He pleaded my case, from all charges, I am free
I have been found innocent, though I must face
Sin and it’s cost, I must battle to gain what was lost
I’m sorry for the pain, I have caused you, as I learn how to live
If there is anything, inside, the deepest part of my heart, I give
Egypt, I will never forget, until I am completely free
One day you will truly see, His glory, as my flesh falls
I spread my wings, And Christ face shines upon, and is seen
You will then, truly know me

Romans 8:9-11
Verse Concepts
However, you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you But if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him. If Christ is in you, though the body is dead because of sin, yet the spirit is alive because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.

Romans 6:19-22
Verse Concepts
I am speaking in human terms because of the weakness of your flesh For just as you presented your members as slaves to impurity and to lawlessness, resulting in further lawlessness, so now present your members as slaves to righteousness, resulting in sanctification. For when you were slaves of sin, you were free in regard to righteousness. Therefore what benefit were you then deriving from the things of which you are now ashamed? For the outcome of those things is death. read more.

Galatians 5:16-24
But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh. For the flesh sets its desire against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are in opposition to one another, so that you may not do the things that you please. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the Law

Psalms 40:11-12
Verse Concepts
You, O LORD, will not withhold Your compassion from me; Your lovingkindness and Your truth will continually preserve me. For evils beyond number have surrounded me; My iniquities have overtaken me, so that I am not able to see; They are more numerous than the hairs of my head, And my heart has failed me.
