IDENTITY

Identity0013A

Identity, is one of the most deep complicated subjects. I recently had a conversation with someone very close to me about their purpose in life. The conversation was anxious, in desire for change! I recently did a post on desire, but this takes desire to an even deeper place. Even though we have many desires, desire does not claim our Identity. We must decide who we are before we can even sift through our desires.

Sometimes we can want things simply because it is popular and it is a direction others are taking. In helping the person I asked a question, what separates you from everyone else? Then I answered the question because I know this person well. I said the thing that separates you from your friends and others is the fact that you think through your choices and usually you make the hard decisions that require sacrifice! This quality is your best quality I said! This quality is a given blessing and is a part of your Identity. I then said but you have to ask yourself are you going to listen to your friends or are you going to continue to be what separates you from the crowd?

Everyone is searching for Identity! The only true place to find it is through Christ! The more we walk with Him, the more shall I say, we become ourselves! Honestly we start out so lost. Through a process we slowly begin to find ourselves through our Identity in Him! Praise you Lord, thank you! This transformation can’t happen without worship and His word, quiet time with Him and meditation.

We have an inner battle taking place between the flesh and the spirit and this is what causes us to want to go the same direction as the world.

Matthew 7:13-14 [Full Chapter]
[ The Narrow and Wide Gates ] “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.

Moving towards Christ and struggling through the process of following His word is the only way to find your true Identity. Learning sacrifice and conforming to His will, is when you the clay, begin to take shape! Your Identity!

Isaiah 64:8 [Full Chapter]
Yet you, Lord, are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand.

God bless you in your search for your true Identity!!!

Blessings to the New Year! It’s your year!!!

BROKEN BRIDGES

BROKEN BRIDGES0040A

Relationships seem to begin well, after some time they can be very complicated. Two different people trying to connect with each other, with the goal to become one in each other. So often what we find is conflict and then it goes unresolved. Once so excited, talking on the phone for hours at a time, never seemingly getting enough of each other. So what happened? How did things go wrong? What changed? What led to saying things we will regret! the cold shoulder, anger, tears, resentment, and hopelessness!

Can it be repaired? Do I want to repair it? He changed, she is not the same person. I’m no longer attracted. I cant forgive. I cant forget. My heart is hard, I cant go on! So few avoid this from happening, so few live the dream we all start with. Our vision of a relationship in our mind, that ever so quickly crumbles.

Ephesians 4:32

Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you.

This scripture is very challenging when it is the last thing you feel like doing. Our battle is against principalities. We are called to choose and not live by our feelings.

Ephesians 6:12King James Version (KJV)

12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Principalities want you to work off of feelings rather than love. Feelings are the hook! Like a fish caught fighting for its life. Caught by the bait of pride, fear, insecurities, lies, anger, and fooled by the shinny lure of misunderstanding! If only we could see to the heart like God. I believe it was purposed for us not to see to the heart. I believe we are purposed to battle with feelings. Because our battles begin in the mind and if we are convinced in our mind the enemy has its hold.

Might I say relationships are not about feelings but a choice, a choice to love. A commitment to do what is right regardless of the other person. The choice to love when you feel the person doesn’t deserve your love, as we do not deserve Gods love.

When we walk by our feelings it is like a blind man feeling his way around in the darkness. We must walk by the word of God which is the lamp to our feet. At first the feelings we have are not good but as we walk by faith and the word of God our sick heart heals and feelings that were dead come alive in Christ. So we must walk by faith not by sight or feelings.

Men are so built to lead but what happens when the women starts giving honey do list, or telling her husband not to do this or that! The man puffs up his frustrations, because you know, he is the man, he should lead! He struggles with disrespect rather then understanding relationships are about serving, Remaining humble, being gentle, leading by softening his character. Not listening to the negative thoughts about her in his head. Instead renewing his mind to the mind of Christ.

When a relationship is lost and there seems no hope to fix it, I can tell you there is always hope. You must start to dig up the bad that you sowed. So that you can begin planting new seed. because Gods word says you reap what you sow.

Dig up your hard heart, resentment, and anger. Dig up the lies in your head. Put on Christ and begin by sacrificing. Sacrifice your time, give up things to God and your relationship without him or her knowing. Serve them, seek to understand the true heart of their bad behavior, rather than living in misunderstanding. Care about how they feel, choose to care for them as you desire to be cared for, even if you don’t feel it. Most people act badly when they are hiding hurt. The crazy thing is if we take the time to find out whats really going on we can usually fix it quickly.

Ephesians 4:29

Let no unwholesome word proceed from your mouth, but only such a word as is good for edification according to the need of the moment, so that it will give grace to those who hear.

Philippians 4:6

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.

Proverbs 4:23

Watch over your heart with all diligence, For from it flow the springs of life.

Philippians 2:3

Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves

I am a work in progress, sharing my walk with you through this blog!

BROKEN

logo

I see the reflection from the shadow of your broken heart
I see the pain from my rejection of your brokenness
The world casts away the pearls covered in soot
Only adding more layers to the rejection you have known
If the world only knew their state of brokenness was even more
They might consider how to care for you
Their shadow overlaps yours, so you know
Now excepted for all that you are
I choose to stand in the gap of the two shadows
pouring light and love on yours
To care for your heart and mine at the same time
I choose to mend the broken heart

I realize how irritated I get at times with someone who is extremely needy or not as smart, someone who is not as neat or organized, someone who is always negative, sad or just a complete downer. Addicts, drama queens, lyres, weak people! As if I’m so together or at least I can fake it better than most. Have I hardened my heart so much? Has pride taken me to a dark place disguising itself as light? When yet, I am just another dark shadow. Don’t get me wrong I’m going to some extremes in this post to make a point. Our we missing it?

Psalm 34:18 [Full Chapter]
The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.

As a Christian am I not suppose to make myself low and how low? Lower than the weakest of them? Meaning care for the broken! Not that I haven’t, I have preached at rehabs and ministered to many different types of people but how irritated have I gotten at times?
What is the state of my heart? If I am to model Jesus, should I not get close to the broken? Should I not take greater care?

Job 4 New International Version (NIV)

Eliphaz
4 Then Eliphaz the Temanite replied:

2 “If someone ventures a word with you, will you be impatient?
But who can keep from speaking?
3 Think how you have instructed many,
how you have strengthened feeble hands.
4 Your words have supported those who stumbled;
you have strengthened faltering knees.
5 But now trouble comes to you, and you are discouraged;
it strikes you, and you are dismayed.
6 Should not your piety be your confidence
and your blameless ways your hope?
7 “Consider now: Who, being innocent, has ever perished?
Where were the upright ever destroyed?
8 As I have observed, those who plow evil
and those who sow trouble reap it.
9 At the breath of God they perish;
at the blast of his anger they are no more.
10 The lions may roar and growl,
yet the teeth of the great lions are broken.
11 The lion perishes for lack of prey,
and the cubs of the lioness are scattered.
12 “A word was secretly brought to me,
my ears caught a whisper of it.
13 Amid disquieting dreams in the night,
when deep sleep falls on people,
14 fear and trembling seized me
and made all my bones shake.
15 A spirit glided past my face,
and the hair on my body stood on end.
16 It stopped,
but I could not tell what it was.
A form stood before my eyes,
and I heard a hushed voice:
17 ‘Can a mortal be more righteous than God?
Can even a strong man be more pure than his Maker?
18 If God places no trust in his servants,
if he charges his angels with error,
19 how much more those who live in houses of clay,
whose foundations are in the dust,
who are crushed more readily than a moth!
20 Between dawn and dusk they are broken to pieces;
unnoticed, they perish forever.
21 Are not the cords of their tent pulled up,
so that they die without wisdom?’
New International Version (NIV)

God deals with this subject as he speaks to Job! Job now finds himself very needy! Job was at the peak of the mountain and now at the lowest pit. (10 The lions may roar and growl, yet the teeth of the great lions are broken.) This really speaks to me about the strength I think I have! It could be taken at any moment and how then would I be. (2 “If someone ventures a word with you, will you be impatient?) I believe God is adding to the already amazing Job! He is allowing him to experience what only the broken and needy know ( PAIN )! Will Job now have more to give to those in need, those more needy then him? I believe the answer is yes. Does God have to bring us to the same place of Jobs brokenness for us to gain the same wisdom? I don’t think so. All we need is something to provoke our hearts to the point of asking God to help us in this.

DESIRE

logo

In this life we all have desire! It seems like the majority of our desire gets shattered leaving us feeling empty, less than or as someone who will never reach the deepest longings of our heart. I believe the bible speaks on this in many different levels. Psalm 37:4 [Full Chapter]
Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.

I’m writing this post because of a comment left on my post (THE ROAD TO LOVE) A gentleman spoke of never feeling love and having a deep desire for it. This blogger left me feeling very sad, yet at the same time very encouraged and excited about what the Lord will do with someone with such desire and not only desire but the desire for the most important thing in the world, ( LOVE )!

How do we take delight in the Lord when our desire has left us empty? Faith is the answer to this question. Everything is tested by faith! Do we believe God? Can we pick ourselves up when we feel discouraged, hopeless, beaten down, faithless and our heart full of lies. Our we able to take an honest inventory of our lives looking at our sin, repenting, getting right with God and then walking in promise, security and faith. 2 Samuel 23:5 “If my house were not right with God, surely he would not have made with me an everlasting covenant, arranged and secured in every part; surely he would not bring to fruition my salvation and grant me my every desire.

We are in this together Christian family! Didn’t God say, don’t seem it strange these trials we are up against, that our brothers and sisters are all facing the same kind of trials. I have many desires and some I am still waiting for, and have been waiting for, I have a strong desire for them to come to fruition. Waiting, trusting, believing, struggling, doubting, despair, being restored and beginning again, waiting, trusting, believing! The process of growing in our desire and even sometimes God changing our hearts and showing us desire in a new light and it usually has to do with our desire for Him!

Our hearts can deceive us especially when it comes to desire. Our flesh the sinful nature has a desire against the spirit and is why our desire leads us into despair. The way we envision our desire from the flesh is not the way it looks once we are living the vision, where our fleshly desire took us. Gods way is not our way and so we fight against Gods desire. Gods desire usually means dyeing to self, humbling our-self, seeking first God and His kingdom which then leads us to our desire being filled. Gods way is hard at times but the most rewarding. You have to ask yourself what does God really want? It usually has to do with you! Something you must walk through within yourself to bring forth the plan God has towards the blindness, darkness of our future, which is the outcome we cant see at first, but as we move through the darkness putting on faith the light shines through of Gods true desire for our lives, beginning with you. Sometimes It can be confusing, because we are going through trials that are painful and never seem to end. God said you gain the prize by perseverance and faith especially when your heart is being tested and an unfinished work is in place. look at Job.

Job 17 New International Version (NIV)

6 “God has made me a byword to everyone,
a man in whose face people spit.
7 My eyes have grown dim with grief;
my whole frame is but a shadow.
8 The upright are appalled at this;
the innocent are aroused against the ungodly.
9 Nevertheless, the righteous will hold to their ways,
and those with clean hands will grow stronger.
10 “But come on, all of you, try again!
I will not find a wise man among you.
11 My days have passed, my plans are shattered.
Yet the desires of my heart
12 turn night into day;
in the face of the darkness light is near.
13 If the only home I hope for is the grave,
if I spread out my bed in the realm of darkness,
14 if I say to corruption, ‘You are my father,’
and to the worm, ‘My mother’ or ‘My sister,’
15 where then is my hope—
who can see any hope for me?
16 Will it go down to the gates of death?
Will we descend together into the dust?”

Listen to Jobs heart as he dealt with desire and was crushed by it! Mostly what I want you to see is a Man finding victory in His desire as he begins to fight out from the fire as he holds to faith!! He finds His one true desire, His faithful desire, God! The amazing thing is that God was always looking at His man Job with delight!

Question? Will you give and trust your desire to God?

God bless you, I hope this word in the time of discouragement, has given you strength and hope!! My greatest desire is for my God and my beautiful wife. God bless!

ENDURANCE

ENDURANCE_edited-2

No Confidence in the Flesh

3 Further, my brothers and sisters, rejoice in the Lord! It is no trouble for me to write the same things to you again, and it is a safeguard for you. 2 Watch out for those dogs, those evildoers, those mutilators of the flesh. 3 For it is we who are the circumcision, we who serve God by his Spirit, who boast in Christ Jesus, and who put no confidence in the flesh— 4 though I myself have reasons for such confidence.

If someone else thinks they have reasons to put confidence in the flesh, I have more: 5 circumcised on the eighth day, of the people of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of Hebrews; in regard to the law, a Pharisee; 6 as for zeal, persecuting the church; as for righteousness based on the law, faultless.

7 But whatever were gains to me I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. 8 What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christ 9 and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in[a] Christ—the righteousness that comes from God on the basis of faith. 10 I want to know Christ—yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, 11 and so, somehow, attaining to the resurrection from the dead.

12 Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. 13 Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

What is ahead? That is the question. Everything in our lives is about what is ahead. Every morning we wake up we are faced with, what is ahead? Right now as I write it is about what is ahead? The other question is how are we going to walk towards what is ahead? Are we going to walk in the flesh or His spirit? When we find ourselves walking in the flesh what then? What is your life’s purpose? What are you living for? What do you need to accomplish right now, to achieve the purpose of God in your life? These are important questions which I hope are stirring your thoughts.

We must have a goal and decide how we are going to walk towards that goal, so that when we are walking wrong we can quickly change it. If you don’t have a goal, the first thing you need to be doing is praying to God for direction. Once we have direction we need to decide how we are going to walk. Hopefully the direction we are going to walk is by the spirit of God. So that when you find yourself walking in the flesh you can quickly change it by repentance and seeking God.

What does the flesh do to slow us down? It loads you up like someone putting weights on your back or handing you one heavy box after another, then expecting you to get there just as fast as if you weren’t carrying the extra load. What are some of the things we carry that is walking in the flesh? UN-forgiveness, judgement, resentment, anger, hate, envy, pride and arrogance. Those are just some. The more weight we can throw off, the better our lives and walks with God will be. If you are handing the heavy load to someone, stop! Begin to take the load back off of them, OK?

So back to the question, what goal do you have? If you had one, did you just add to it? If you didn’t have one, do you now? You don’t have to deal with them all at once but take on what you can with Gods help. If you are carrying any of those things, it could explain why your life is struggling. I know in my personal life I have been working on a couple of these and everyday I need Gods help. The only way to walk in the spirit is to walk close to God, get into His word, worship Him, and do as He says. This isn’t about anyone else, this is about you. Your husband or wife, boyfriend or girlfriend have nothing to do with this right now. This is about you and God. How are you and I going to be victorious for God?

How serious do you see this? I am telling you times are coming and if you begin now learning how to walk in the spirit of God, you will have the endurance to accomplish all God puts before you. Once you have the endurance of God you will be able to even carry someone else load.

God be with you and give you a Godly endurance. Bless you and stay blessed.  Endurance can be purchased at our store. www.fullofrosesinspirationals.com

BORN INTO A CLOUD (PART TWO)

logo

To begin telling you my story and how the poetry began I must tell you, I believe the messages in this poetry is a direct word from God, not only to me but to you as well. You see Born Into A Cloud talks about coming to Christ and who we are in Him. Our identity as the rainbow God has called us to be. The second poem Full Of Roses is what I named this ministry because I realized It is Gods call on our lives to plant roses. Planting the truth in other believers and coming along slide of them to help them blossom in The Lord, our marching orders.

I had told you I memorized the first poem and shared it to everyone for a year until God gave me the second poem a year later. During that time I was in sales selling home security systems which led me to the living room of a pastor and his wife. The moment I walked in and sat on their couch the presence of The Lord came in. The pastor and His wife looked at each other in awe of God then the pastor’s wife looked at me and said “God has a significant call on your life”. We talked for a few, I made my sale and left.

I was confused by what she prophesied over my life. I thought about it everyday. Honestly I struggled because I didn’t understand or know what to do. So I was calling on God what seemed like every second. One night I asked God to confirm what the pastor’s wife said, I asked for a shooting star and He gave it instantly. Doubt entered almost immediately and again I struggled. The next night I asked again for another shooting star and again He gave it. Again I doubted and struggled. Someone told me there was a meteor shower that night. The third night I asked again for a shooting star and again He gave it but this time it came with a discomfort to my head, I felt an uncomfortable pressure. I believed it to be God telling me to stop doubting.

Sorry to tell you I still struggled. I was new to this thing called faith, and I surely didn’t understand having a calling. A few weeks later I decided to have a party at my house to honor God. I had used my house for the wrong kind of parties and I wanted to offer up my house to God. I Invited the singles group over and I catered a really nice afternoon gathering. There was a pool table in the garage, darts in the house, ping-pong table under the patio and horseshoes in the backyard. Everyone was having a really good time. A guy named Robert came over to me and brought my attention to a very large grey lizard on my wall that was doing push ups. Everyone gathered around to look at it, when it darted off two or three houses down out of sight. I asked Robert if he thought it lived in my wood pile, and he said ” no that thing is long gone”. We finished up a very wonderful day, prayed over my house then called it a night.

Several weeks later I was in my backyard where I spent most of my time reading the bible and praying to God. I continued to have this strong feeling I was supposed to be doing something but I didn’t know what. So I was walking around my back yard talking to God, telling him I would do whatever He wanted but I needed answers. I asked Him again about what the pastor’s wife said and so I asked Him, “do you have plans for me, I need to know”? I told God whatever it was, I would serve Him. I needed to hear from Him, I needed something. The lizard came to mind. I said to Him “yes, the lizard, bring the lizard out and I will know”. I stood there in front of the wood pile for twenty to thirty minutes believing if God wanted to, He could do it. The thoughts in my head were I had already asked God for three shooting stars, He gave them to me and the last one, the discomfort I felt. Here I was asking for another sign. I felt really stupid and shameful, so I turned around as to go back to the house when I heard a rustling of leaves coming from behind the wood pile. I felt anxious, a little shocked, maybe even a little scared. I could hear the sound getting higher, when I saw its head pop up from behind the wood pile. The lizard walked forward, started doing push ups, then looked right at me. I fell to the ground in shock and in awe of God.

The reason I am sharing this story with you is certainly not to give you the idea I think I am special or anything of the sort. The reason I am telling you is because of how important I believe testimony is. God is the same God today as He was yesterday. He still moves, heals, speaks, and does miracles. God knows our hearts, He knew mine when I asked for the miracle. He knew I wasn’t playing games with Him, He knew I was serious and the commitment I was ready to make to Him. God will reveal himself to us when we are ready, really ready to answer His call!

I think this will have to be continued. I am here for you, to encourage you, to walk along side of you and share this amazing journey we share together. God be with you, encourage you and give you the strength and faith you need!

THE TRUE ATHLETES

logo

Christian’s are true born athletes, the problem is to many sign up for the race but never reach the starting line.  I believe it is mostly because they don’t feel they have the gifting to make a difference or they let their sin get in the way, either way the sleeping giants are counted out for the time being. Some start the race but get discouraged and drop out of the race, never seeming to find the heart to get back in.

Lets start with gifting and faith because the two go hand to hand. In the christian life gifts of the spirit are something that has to be searched out, worked out and even formed. It is no different than any other athlete except you have already been guaranteed a win. This reason alone gives Christians no excuse not to enter or persevere in the race.

Lets look at any other athlete like a runner for example or a boxer, both have to begin by training and getting involved with the sport. If you talk with any athlete, champions especially they will tell you that their accomplishments didn’t come overnight. They were tested at one point of their journey that could have changed everything for them if they hadn’t found the heart to push through.

Faith is what Christians should be living by. The problem is most lack faith in themselves. This is more of a reason to put their faith into action. Putting faith in God where they lack it in themselves. Stepping out in faith with God is the very thing that exercises spiritual muscles, which opens up incredible possibilities.  When we reach out to serve and enter the race of faith, God meets us. Many times our gifting are not even revealed until we have been in the race for some time.

Most fighters can tell you they have been knocked out and beaten more times than they can count, yet they continue to get up and fight. In the fighting world they call it heart. True champions find the heart to get up and keep fighting. They can also tell you the challenges they faced and the times when they wanted to throw in the towel. They can also tell you how many times they were told they couldn’t do it. Somehow true champions men and women of heart found the strength to get up and continue to fight.

2 Timothy 2

New International Version (NIV)

The Appeal Renewed

2 You then, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others. Join with me in suffering, like a good soldier of Christ Jesus. No one serving as a soldier gets entangled in civilian affairs, but rather tries to please his commanding officer. Similarly, anyone who competes as an athlete does not receive the victor’s crown except by competing according to the rules. The hardworking farmer should be the first to receive a share of the crops. Reflect on what I am saying, for the Lord will give you insight into all this.

Remember Jesus Christ, raised from the dead, descended from David. This is my gospel, for which I am suffering even to the point of being chained like a criminal. But God’s word is not chained. 10 Therefore I endure everything for the sake of the elect, that they too may obtain the salvation that is in Christ Jesus, with eternal glory.

Hebrews 12

New International Version (NIV)

12 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.

You who need to go to the starting line, go in the name of Jesus. You who need to get back in the race, go in the name of Jesus. God has enough grace for you to overcome the things you are struggling with. Life is hard no matter how you run, so run in a way to make it count. My prayers are with you. Bless you in Jesus name amen. 🙂

EASTER THE BEST DAY OF THE YEAR

THE CROSS_edited-2

Easter is a time for resurrection and the power of Christ from it. Lets lead up to it though, remembering where it came from and that is the Cross. If our Savior had not went on the ultimate rescue mission, where would we be? Love sent Him. A love so pure and deep most cannot imagine. What would cause an all powerful perfect being to put Himself through all He did?

This is the question most ask trying to figure out this God called The Christ! I am not surprised so many are lost trying to answer or find the answer to this question. None of us have even a tear drop of Gods love and that is why it is so deep and so beyond our ability to take it fully in. Purity, Humility, Honesty, Kindness, Sweetness, Gentleness, I could go on forever. I find myself weeping trying to put my words together.

The lost think they are wise to question such a God! The lost have the same argument saying they can’t follow a God that would forgive a child molester. Yet, those who have encountered Him know and submit to Him knowing He is worthy to judge. His blood is enough to cover those He chooses to sanctify. Do not think I am angry at the lost! My heart goes out to the people who are lost!!

Nonbeliever, us Christians hope and pray for you. Not because we Love or know love fully but because we found genuine Love In Christ. His love makes it possible for us to begin to scratch the surface of love. You and I don’t know what the child molester has been through! The abuse they went through as a Child! The evil, where it began or how it started? We do not know the heart of man, only God does! I know my own sin and I am not one to judge but Christ knew no sin, who is worthy to judge!

Easter is coming and it represents the dead body of a beaten sinless crucified Christ, who rose from the dead. Conquering death and sin! If He chooses to make one evil man well, why on earth wouldn’t we want this Christ and want Him to make all men well!!!! Please open your eyes! See the opportunity He has given you. Turn from your sin and receive His forgiveness and His resurrection power in your life this Easter! Open your heart, open your eyes, see His purpose and power to redeem the sinner. To make those who are dead by their sin to rise by the grace and mercy of Christ! If you receive Christ as your Lord and Savior you too will rise from the dead. I am going to pray for you now.

Dear Heavenly Father, I come to You in prayer for this Man or Women who is choosing to receive Your free gift of salvation. Father I pray that You will forgive them of all their acknowledged sin. I pray You would wash them by the power of Your blood. I pray You would forgive them of their sin and call them children of the living God.

If you have confessed your sin and asked Jesus Christ to come into your heart, please let me know, so I can pray for you by name.  Thank you and God bless you. May this resurrection day be Christ resurrected in you. Amen

SALT GOOD OR BAD INGREDIENT FOR CHRISTIANS?

logo

I am realizing more and more the lack of understanding I have had on the subject, is salt a good or bad ingredient. As Christians we have been told we are the salt of the world. How many Christians really understand what this means? First of all why does the bible use salt as a description or ingredient? Well that answer is  salt added to anything preserves it from going bad. What happens when we add too much salt? What is our part to play when it comes to using the Bible described salt. What is our part and what is Gods part when using salt?

First of all I must tell you I am guilty of confusing what part of the salt ingredient I am responsible for and what part is God responsible for?

I am responsible for preserving the light, salt=light for I am the light of the world as you are. God Is responsible for truth=salt  You see If I try to become the salt of God I will add way too much salt and then I am nothing more than a salt spring. Meaning trying to push Gods word on people or trying to convict them. It is Gods job not mine. My job is to present Gods truth (His salt) as an offering. Like giving a warm piece of bread to a homeless man. As I give the bread I do it in love trusting God will become the salt in His word and I remain His lamp.

Matthew 5:13

Salt and Light

13 “You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.

14 “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

My light or salt is my actions. Salt is my lamp of the truth I have come to know In Christ and how it shines forth through me in love.

Starting In James 3:12 the bible says

James 3:12 My brothers and sisters, can a fig tree bear olives, or a grapevine bear figs? Neither can a salt spring produce fresh water.

God is the only one that can produce fresh water. He is the only one that can water His word through the power of the Holy Spirit. I can not water it but I can shine a light on it in love.

Two Kinds of Wisdom

13 Who is wise and understanding among you? Let them show it by their good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom. 14 But if you harbor bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth. 15 Such “wisdom” does not come down from heaven but is earthly, nonspiritual, demonic. 16 For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice.

17 But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. 18 Peacemakers who sow in peace reap a harvest of righteousness.

I hope this helps you as It has helped me. Be His light, give His truth in love and grace like bread to someone starving. Don’t force them to eat it, offer it in love and keep shinning your light. May the Lord bless you and fill your heart with joy peace and love. Bless you today.

AWAITING A PRAYER ( A PRAYER FOR SINGLES)

awaiting a prayer color change

I know what it is like being single and my heart and prayers go out to those of you who are waiting patiently for God to bring that special person in your life. The important thing is to have your heart in the right place while you are waiting. It is easy to get discouraged, find yourself lonely and even very depressed when you long to have someone to share your life with. My hope is to encourage you. First of all you don’t have to be lonely, there are many single groups you can connect with. However you choose to connect it is important to know that God desires to have a deep intimate relationship with you. The Bible says seek first the kingdom of heaven and everything else will be added unto you.  I believe this apply s to everything we desire. God wants to build a deep relationship with us that will help any future relationship when it comes.

Building a foundation in the Lord is everything. I would encourage you to take this poem and sing it to the Lord first. Everyday say this prayer to the Lord, desiring Him to come out from hiding. I believe if you will take the approach to seek out a deep relationship with God you will be overwhelmed with what takes place. After you fall in love with Christ you may or may not even need or desire anything more. I know that might be hard for you to grasp, I understand. God says He will give you your hearts desires. So I am suggesting you give Him His hearts desire and that is to build a deep relationship with Him first. I am confident if you choose this path everything will turn out greater than you can imagine.

If you already have this kind of relationship with Christ take it even deeper, there is a reason God is holding back from you your greatest desire of relationship. There is still something very important God is doing. Waiting on the Lord is not easy for any of us. Still I would encourage you to change the way you are looking at things. Find your joy in Christ and choose to believe God is putting together great things. Stand on His promises push out the lies and walk in faith He will come through.

God bless you, my prayers are with you. I said a prayer for you as I wrote this. The tides are working together God bless you. Awaiting a prayer can be purchased from our store. www.fullofrosesinspirationals.com
