HIS GLORY

She was struck by lightning, when the sun fell
Why this happened no one could tell
The pain that it caused, a ripple in the water
I have to tell you, this was my daughter
A tornado that never stopped spinning
Reaping havoc of the heart, how to find, a new beginning
Faith, in it’s unfolding of it’s wings
Begin to sing, to the promise it brings
Beauty from ashes, the psalmist gleams
She now shines like the purest of diamonds
A bride of one to admire
Her heart now burns, the fire of Him within her
There is one who looks to steal
Yet one greater, to reveal
His glory

I FOUND FAITH

I opened the door to my heart
At first it was dark, feeling apart
A light in the distance, was him I knew
A shadow appears whispering true
“I’m here keep walking” He said
As I step forward looking ahead
Let me come to you, in you I keep
As I feel the oceans surface below my feet
A figure like a ghost appears
Welling up in me fears
I began to sink
He reached out and took my hand
Saying “you of little faith, stand”
His voice so gentle but with command
As He stood like a wraith
I found faith
