DEAD MEN FREE
I was dead, dry bones ready for ashes
Walking among the living, with no passage
To the kingdom above, I knew not love
Only sin within me, I was far from free
In a tomb made for the walking dead
Blind with so many lies filling my head
He hung dying, my weight upon His shoulders
Placed in the tomb awaiting me, He rolled away the stone
With angels hovering above the tomb
The Lord Of Lords, Would be walking among us, soon!
He cried Lazarus come forth
Lazarus walked to the groom
The stone upon our hearts made room, for Him
And the dead men rose, made new, ready to begin
Learning a life of resurrection, a collection
Of dry men’s bones, awaiting beauty for ashes
The power, the glory, The story, of His actions
That set, dead men free!
