There I stood at the wheat gardens edge
As I stood looking over the hedge
I noticed something odd with the wheat
I took notice because there right at my feet
Weeds were growing, they were there without me knowing
Only when they are full grown, their differences are shown
It caused me to ponder with thought
About the weeds in my own life
Full grown I take notice and strive
To change those things in me that don’t belong
If not dealt with they take over becoming strong
And hard to pull out
Their seeds blow and grow even more
Until they grow out of control and life is torn
By my poor choices
Though when I notice and fight to pull them out
The wheat of my heart rises and shouts
Of the bread to eat
It’s so sweet
Wheat without weeds
