I AM REDEEMED

logo

I stand arms stretched out wide
Palms facing upwards, towards the sky
Sun shining down upon me
Tears of joy gleaming, as I cry
From the deep love I feel inside
Of the truth, I can no longer hide
My savior has set me free
I am redeemed

I lift up my voice to the sky
My love I can no longer hide
My spirit leaping from inside
To be close to you
Jesus my savior, it’s true
My savior has set me free
I am redeemed

As I lift my voice in song
My heart opens and longs
To draw closer to you
You are my shepherd, my rock
The door that opened, when I knocked
My savior has set me free
I am redeemed

I now stand in awe, of your grace that falls
Your spirit washes over me, and calls
My heart to receive, as I worship my king
The lover of my soul, who excepts me
As I am, you stand, confirming
My savior has set me free
I am redeemed

THE MOUNTAIN

images (2)

I started my journey up the mountain
The purpose was to find the fountain
The testimony of so many, whom searched and found
I was told as I search, to listen for the sounds
Of waters overflowing, a river rushing and pouring
living water, a spring of life, formed by sacrifice
It wasn’t long as I started up the steep ravine
I ran into the person of sin, his darkness was clearly seen
Instantly I began to stumble and fall
Frightened and full of fear, I heard an echo off the wall
Of the mountainside, a voice cried out, walk this way
There I saw the person of grace
He spoke to me about being covered from my stains
He told me to keep climbing, It is soon to rain
He told me of the person I was next to face
He said to climb as to win the race
Not to far up I saw the person of Wisdom
As He told me to come
Then He showed me a book, A map, a guide, directions to the brook
In which I was seeking, It was like a holy meeting
Because He shined like the sun
He told me these words written, is how the battle is won
If I am to overcome the mountain, I must follow the words of the Son
He spoke of truth guiding my way, and warned of one who betrays
Then I saw him, the person of lies, he was in disguise
To trick and deceive, he highlighted all my sin, and looked at me with piercing eyes
He told me to go back, I can’t reach the top, no matter how hard I fought
There was no way I could win, and then again he had me focus on my sin
I remembered the person of grace, and how he said I was covered from my stains
It then began to rain as Wisdom said, I drank and I was ready to climb
To my surprise there it was to find, the peak was in sight
As I reached the top, I was tired from the fight
As I looked out from the mountains top, I could see many valleys and peaks
There in the far distance a river overflowing in my sight and in reach
The beauty was like nothing I have seen
It was then a breeze came, with a voice saying
The peaks and valleys will help you grow
The peaks and valleys will help you come to know
The purpose of the one who created you, so His love will show
On the journey up, The Mountain

MADE TO BE HEALED

MADE TO BE HEALED

My heart cries out, from the pain I’m in
Wounded from this life, I can’t seem to win
The days grow colder, As I struggle fighting the tide
I’ve come to give and reveal, what’s deep inside
I’ll give you all I have concealed
I was made to be healed

The troubles I face, I know you can relate
You have walked in my shoes, Lord help me choose
To walk like you, help me carry my cross
Help me lay down, all that I have lost
Deep inside my heart, your love instills
I was made to be healed

The tears I cry, cleans me from the inside
The fountain over me, is setting me free
Your spirit washes the pain away
Your still small voice says, I’m here to stay
Your love in me has sealed
I was made to be healed

I feel your love setting me free
I feel your joy coming over me
As I climb this mountain
Bring me to the fountain
So my heart can be filled
I was made to be healed

TO OUR FLAG

Ruby red, the color of the stripes He bore
Draped across, waving glory, at attention I adored
White Crystal color, were the stripes and stars
Displaying his presence and light
A symbol that lights up the night
Ocean blue the water that cleanses our souls
The back drop to the stars we’ve come to know
His banner over us, flaps in the wind
I hear the words, the little boy said
One nation under God, as his tears fell
For his father he lost, fighting for our freedom
It’s the reason a hero is declared
Prepared for us the life we now live
What one lifes sacrifice can give
I see a symbol of God, laid over his father
As to say you are honored
He gave His life for us, as did Christ
The ultimate sacrifice and glory
Leaving a longing, a pride that pushes us through
What he gave, he knew
A story that will never be forgotten
A symbol representing the only begotten, Son
His banner that blesses our nation
Reminding us of the purpose of our creation
So we might unite as one
In relation to Him, the Son
The hope that carries us through
The true meaning of the red, white, and blue
There it stands, as I listen to the band
Playing the star spangled banner
To Our flag
